DEG Announces Bill Carr of Amazon.com As Retail Keynote At Blu-Con Event November 2
LOS ANGELES (October 20, 2010) – Bill Carr, Vice President, Music and Video, Amazon.com will be the morning retailer keynote at the DEG’s Blu-Con event on Tuesday, November 2 at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Bill Carr, Vice President, Music and Video will present his unique perspective on the expanding the Blu-ray Disc market segment.
Mr. Carr leads the worldwide digital music and video business for Amazon.com as well as the U.S. DVD/Blu-ray and CD categories. He joined Amazon.com in 1999. Prior to joining Amazon.com, Carr worked in sales and marketing for Evare, Procter & Gamble and Pitney Bowes.

The Blu-Con 2010 event is specifically designed to bring together a variety of creative, marketing and business experts from across the entertainment and electronics industries. The event is expected to attract more than 400 attendees, and will offer a program that will underscore the vital role that Blu-ray plays in today’s home entertainment environment as a key driver in the industry.
Blu-Con 2010 will kick off with an exclusive conversation between James Cameron and Jon Landau, the filmmakers of the Oscar® and Golden Globe® winning epic AVATAR.
Special sessions will also be held on Blu-ray 3D, BD-Live, classic films on Blu-ray and Blu-ray music; along with the networked players and other emerging trends that are anticipated to drive Blu-ray sales in the fourth quarter.
