Rich Marty

Rich Marty is Vice President, New Business Development of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment. In this capacity, Mr. Marty is responsible for the marketing and strategy of the next generation optical format, Blu-ray Disc, and oversees the SPHE Blu-ray release schedule along with retail marketing efforts. Additionally, he is involved in Sony cross-divisional initiatives and represents SPHE on the BDA marketing/promotions group.

Having worked in the Home Entertainment industry for the past 11 years, Mr. Marty joined Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in 1999 to support the rollout of DVD into SPHE's international territories. In his previous role as Vice President, International Operations, Mr. Marty was responsible for the management of DVD manufacturing and distribution throughout SPHE's operating and licensee territories. Based three years in London, Mr. Marty played a key role in developing SPHE's European DVD business.

Mr. Marty is a graduate of the University of San Diego (with international studies in both Germany and Mexico).
